Notifications

Notifications alert you when something needs your attention. Eriga sends notifications automatically based on your role on units — there is no need to subscribe manually.

The notifications you receive depend on your role on units. Admins receive all notifications — including structural ones such as resource and action assignments to units. Operators and Viewers receive notifications related to compliance and certificate expiry dates.

Notifications are delivered via email and in-app (bell icon in the menu). Preferences for which notifications to receive can be managed from the preference panel integrated in the notifications area.

Eriga automatically notifies you when certificates in your units are approaching expiration:

  • Within 30 days — weekly summary every Monday morning
  • Within 7 days — daily summary every morning
  • Expired — daily summary of already expired certificates

Each summary groups certificates into a single notification, showing the resource name, action, and expiry date.

If there are obligations without a valid certificate in your units, you receive a daily summary.

  • New certificate issued — when a certificate is recorded in your units
  • Certificate revoked — when a certificate is cancelled
  • Resource assigned/removed from a unit
  • Action assigned/removed from a unit
  • Role assigned/removed from a unit
  • Unit deleted

Here are some typical scenarios where notifications help you maintain conformity:

  • Training renewal: John Smith’s fire safety training expires in 25 days. You receive the Monday weekly summary with the alert, then daily summaries when fewer than 7 days remain. You have time to arrange the renewal.
  • Expired certificate: Jane Doe’s medical exam expired yesterday. You receive the daily summary of expired certificates, so you can take action and schedule the exam.
  • New obligation without certificate: an admin assigns the action “PPE delivery” to the unit “North Site” where there are 5 people. You receive the structural change notification (if you are an admin) and the next day the summary of the 5 compliance gaps generated.
  • Revoked certificate: an operator revokes an incorrect certificate. You receive the revocation notification and the next day the resulting compliance gap.
